Rumer Willis Denies She's the Lion in The Masked Singer: 'I Am Not'
The lion previously revealed that many would consider her Hollywood royalty, even mentioning how "in my pride, there are lots of women"
Fans of The Masked Singer have pointed out clues and predictions lending credence to the rumors Rumer Willis is the Lion.
However, the actress, 30, shut down the whispers at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
“I am not,” Willis told PEOPLE Now host Andrea Boehlke and PEOPLE Deputy Editor JD Heyman during the PEOPLE, Entertainment Weekly & TNT Red Carpet Live: 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards.
“All of a sudden when it started airing, I started getting all of these things in my Twitter feed and I said, ‘Oh, okay. Well, maybe I have to watch this and see what’s happening,’ ” Willis said. “It’s pretty cool.”
Earlier this month, audiences predicted Willis, who is a Leo, to be the Lion after the contestant dropped some notable clues on the Fox show.
Before her first performance, the lion revealed that many would consider her Hollywood royalty, even mentioning how “in my pride, there are lots of women.” (Willis has two sisters, Scout and Tallulah, as well as two half-sisters from dad Bruce’s second marriage.)
In addition, fans couldn’t help but mention Willis’ role on Empire, in which she works closely as a singer/songwriter with the Lyon family.
Another clue: Willis also once had a lion tattoo on her left arm.
So far Antonio Brown, Terry Bradshaw and Margaret Cho have been revealed as some of the contestants on the competition.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays (8 p.m. ET) on Fox.
The 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on both TNT and TBS.
