Valentina immediately established herself as a top-contender for the crown in season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race, but ended up coming in 7th place after a shocking elimination.

During the lip-sync that ultimately set the queen packing, RuPaul actually had to stop the performance in order to ask Valentina to take off a face mask that was covering her mouth. Although the contestant replied that she would "like to keep it on," Valentina relented and ended up sashaying away as it became clear she didn't know the words.
