Fox announced Friday that Tim Curry is confirmed as the Criminologist Narrator of its Rocky Horror musical event.

Curry originated the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1973 stage production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk award for outstanding actor in a musical) and reprised the role in the 1975 film version that has since become a cult favorite on the midnight movie circuit.

A return to the show that made him a star is surely a welcome one for Curry, 69, who suffered a stroke in May 2013.

This past June, while accepting a lifetime achievement award at the 19th annual Actors Fund Tony Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles, he told reporters that keeping his sense of humor through rehabilitation had been “absolutely vital” but “not tough,” adding. “It is just part of my DNA.”

As previously reported, Laverne Cox will step into Curry’s fishnets for the two-hour, small-screen production this fall.

Curry and Cox will also be joined by Adam Lambert as Eddie, Victoria Justice as Janet, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Reeve Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) as Riff Raff and model/musician Staz Nair as Rocky.
