RHOC: Vicki Gunvalson Tries to Fix Shannon Beador's Marriage
Shannon Beador and her husband headed south of the border on Monday’s Real Housewives of Orange County to rekindle the romance in their troubled marriage, and Vicki Gunvalson was intent on trying to help.
“Our relationship needs this trip more than ever,” said Beador, whose husband, David, had previously said he was going to move out. “I’m going to Puerto Vallarta with my eyes wide open.”
“We’re going to have fun in Mexico,” Gunvalson said upon their arrival, and she quickly had the Beadors focused on fun, including jet-skiing, cigar-smoking, tequila-tasting and shopping, and she even tried to teach her fellow Housewife her trademark party cheer.
“Woo,” Beador attempted. “Woo.”
“It’s not a woo,” Gunvalson corrected. “It’s a woo-hoo!”
Gunvalson even tried to get the couple closer by giving them the smallest bedroom in her Mexican condo.
“I think the last time I slept in a double bed was high school,” said Beador, before her husband beckoned the hostess to discuss their tiny quarters.
“You guys just don’t want to stay here,” said Gunvalson. “If you’re uncomfortable and want to leave, the answer is ‘no.’ ”
Advised Gunvalson, squeaking the bed, “This is what I want to hear.”
But what she – and the rest of us – continued to hear was more fighting between the two, who battled on the beach, tasting tequila, and at a nice restaurant.
“David, maybe next time you can make me not look like a bitch,” said Beador, returning to the table after the two had exchanged icy words.
“The silence is deafening,” her husband said. “You need to smile.”
The couple excused themselves to sort things out in the ocean air.
“I’m 100 percent committed to get my marriage back to the way it was,” said Beador, who then told her husband, “All of the women are criticizing our marriage.”
“I don’t worry about anyone else,” said David. “Let’s have fun.”
“You need to figure this out or you’re gong to end up divorced,” said Gunvalson. “I think Shannon needs to get on a bar top and dance.”
Which is what they do on Monday’s Real Housewives of Orange County (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
