Photo: Alex Martinez/Bravo Two penguins couldn’t have shared an icier hug than the one that Phaedra Parks and husband Apollo Nida shared on Sunday’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. “Phaedra looks like she’s seen a ghost,” Cynthia Bailey said upon the unexpected arrival of Nida at a music video release party for new housewife Demetria McKinney. “Aren’t you happy to see your husband, Miss Southern Belle?” She wasn’t. “Are you surprised to see me or something?” asked Nida, who was on the verge of starting an eight year term in prison for bank fraud. She was, evident by the cringe-worthy reaction to the hug and kiss her husband (now estranged) gave her while the wives watched. “You’re not going to kiss me?” he asked Parks, who coldly pecked him back. “That was an ugly kiss.” After Nida walked away and Parks ignored her husband’s repeated yelling of her name, he went to her. “The middle of a crowded nightclub is not the place to start communication,” said Kandi Burruss. “I came in peace,” said Nida, before warning, “Let me know because I can switch my mode real quick. I’m still your husband, don’t forget.” Continued Nida when his wife wouldn’t respond: “I’m just talking to myself … I want you to respond.” “I wish he would be this concerned with his children,” said Parks. “He just wants to make a scene.” “You’re still my wife. Let me hold you,” replied Nida, putting the squeeze on Parks, who stiffened like a mannequin. “Seeing Phaedra squirm is the real entertainment,” responded Kenya Moore. “You don’t miss me?” pushed Nida. “I asked if you loved me earlier? You don’t comment on that. I love you. Even if you don’t love me.” Earlier, Burruss reached out to Parks, having her talk to her cousin, who had a troubled past with the law. “How do you tell a 4-year-old that his father’s going to prison?” Parks asked him. “Due to our son’s ages, they don’t understand what’s going on, and I don’t want to damage them I don’t want my sons to repeat the same cycle.” Meanwhile, NeNe Leakes launched her eponymous clothing line on HSN – at midnight. “This is like no sleep, girl,” said a yawning Leakes, who kept herself upbeat despite the late hour to sell out pieces of her collection. “Our inspiration is what a size 24 can wear that a size 2 can wear. I want to style for curvy girls.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
