The show must go on!

During a night of a thousand pranks, Gwyneth Paltrow seemed to experience some technical difficulties during NBC’s live Red Nose Day special on Thursday that left her dangling above the stage.

Seth Meyers, who took on hosting duties for the star-studded fundraiser, introduced Paltrow, promising the “biggest entrance” of the night.

Viewers saw a blonde woman drop from a helicopter, roll on the building rooftop, fit herself with a harness and then jump through a skylight – all while wearing heels.

Then Paltrow, 42, showed up inside New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on a wire harness. But as she floated down over the stage, Paltrow appeared to get stuck.

Awkwardly dangling from the ceiling, the Motrdecai star, wearing a fitted black jumpsuit and strappy black heels, made light of the snafu.

“Oh God, I’m stuck,” she told Meyers. “This worked much better in rehearsal.”

Despite Meyers attempts to remedy the high-flying situation, Paltrow was the consummate professional, reading her lines from sky high.

“I think we pulled it off,” Paltrow joked to Meyers after completing her part.

“No, I think everyone noticed,” Seth replied.

The inaugural Red Nose Day special raised money and awareness for a dozen different children’s charities.

Paltrow’s ex Chris Martin was also on hand for the event and helped out by creating Game of Thrones: The Musical in a hilarious sketch that aired during the telecast.
