Former Dancing with the Stars pro Hough, 32, is one of a handful of celebs who will run the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course as part of a celebrity edition of the reality competition, which kicks off NBC's three-hour Red Nose Day telecast (Thursday at 8 p.m. ET) to supports kids' charities around the world. "For every obstacle we complete, we raise money," Hough tells PEOPLE. "So if I fall, I’m going to go back and do it again."

"These are my lucky braids," says the Access Hollywood host, 44. "I wear braids whenever I do a marathon. It's part of putting my game face on. So even if the course is ridiculously hard, I’m at least going to look like I’m a champion."
