Reality Romances That Worked
RYAN & TRISTA
Inaugural Bachelorette Rehn gave her heart to Sutter on the show's season finale in 2003, and the couple tied the knot on Dec. 6 that same year. Almost a decade later, the pair is proud parents to 5-year-old son Maxwell and 4-year-old daughter Blakesley. "There is no secret formula," Trista told PEOPLE in 2004 of making their reality romance work. "Ryan and I were obviously ready … It was in the cards for us."
DIANA & ACE
Two years after costarring together in the Broadway revival of Hair, American Idol alum Young, who appeared on season 5, popped the question to season 3 runner-up DeGarmo during an appearance on the show's 2012 season finale. "I love you to death. You're my best friend. I want to make this last forever," he said, before asking, "Will you marry me?"
AMBER & ROB
Following separate Survivor stints, Brkich and Mariano met on the 2004 All-Star edition of the show and was madly in love by its finale. They made it official on April 16, 2005, and have since welcomed three daughters – 4-year-old Lucia, 2-year-old Carina and 1-year-old Isabetta. "Three girls under 3 has made life a little crazy at times," Amber told PEOPLE, "but that is what Rob and I are all about. We are absolutely loving life with our three little princesses."
JASON & MOLLY
After proposing to Melissa Rycroft on the 13th season of The Bachelor, Mesnick shocked the nation when he broke up with her and returned to runner-up Malaney. Despite the scandal, the decision proved to be right for the two, who married in 2010 and welcomed daughter Riley Anne last month. "Jason got me a baby book and one of the pages is, 'How Mommy and Daddy Met.' That will be an interesting conversation, to say the least!" Molly joked with PEOPLE.
BRENDON & RACHEL
The alliance that began as "Brenchel" on Big Brother 12 made it all the way to the altar in 2012, when Villegas and Reilly tied the knot atop the ATampT Center in downtown Los Angeles on Sept. 8. Prior to their nuptials, the couple had reteamed for another season of Big Brother in 2011 – which Reilly won – and competed on The Amazing Race.
SUZY & MATT
Though Hoover took home top prize on the second season of The Biggest Loser, his greatest win was meeting second runner-up Preston, whom he married in 2006 in an intimate ceremony in Jamaica. "Going through something like we went through is life-changing," Suzy said after the two went public with their romance, which also produced two sons for the couple, 5-year-old Rex and 4-year-old Jax.
DOMINC & DANIELE
It wasn't exactly love at first sight for Big Brother 13 contestants Briones and Donato, but it did lead to a lasting commitment. "I thought he was a little troublemaker. But we became friends, and although I didn't like him like that, it just grew," Donato told PEOPLE at the couple's Jan. 19 nuptials. "After the finale, we became inseparable. We got to know each other really well, and we fell in love!"
PEYTON & CHRIS
Ask Lambton about the best part of being on The Bachelorette's sixth season with Ali Fedotowsky, and he'll say being rejected. "I love [Ali] for the fact that she didn't try to get me to propose if it wasn't true love. Every day I thank my lucky stars I was on that show because I met the woman of my dreams, my wife," he told PEOPLE of Wright, whom he was introduced to in 2010 through mutual Bachelor friends (Wright competed for Andy Baldwin's heart on the 10th season of The Bachelor). The pair wed in 2012 and now cohost the HGTV series Going Yard together.
J.P. & ASHLEY
Becoming the show's second couple to go the distance, Bachelorette season 7 stars Rosenbaum and Hebert received the blessing of host Chris Harrison, who officiated their Dec 1. wedding ceremony. "Today is all about our friends and family," the bride told PEOPLE. "It's about standing with J.P., looking around at all the people we love in the same room there to celebrate our love."
