But she really wasn’t happy to host a luncheon at her mansion’s construction site (14 bathrooms! “Map needed”) where Edmonds came face to face with Gunvalson, who was furious after finding out that she had been gossiping about Tamra Judge‘s visit with a psychic who insinuated that Brooks Ayers was lying about his cancer.
“I’m not going to listen to a psychic,” said Gunvalson, who refused to have her birthday weekend ruined. “I’m not going to listen to Meghan, who’s 30 years old. She is messing with the wrong person. Shame on her. She can kiss my ass.”
“Why wouldn’t I question that?” asked Edmonds, who wondered why Brooks was pausing chemotherapy to blast antioxidants.
“Don’t you ever question if he has cancer again. I’ll take you down,” Gunvalson said at the luncheon, while the wives watched in stunned silence. “How dare you go there. Is my mother still alive? Guess what, she’s dead. Are you going to question that, too? How dare you!”
“Was that a threat?” asked Edmonds.
“I’m shaking right now. I can barely look at you,” said Gunvalson. “Do you have cancer?”
“I’ve been there while he’s getting chemo put in his arm,” countered Gunvalson. “Don’t worry about it you’re not going to get involved in it.”
“You get involved with my stepdaughter and I’m not allowed to be concerned?” asked Edmonds, questioning Gunvalson’s previous criticism of her and her husband’s parenting.
“You’re a little girl, and you need to go away,” said Gunvalson. “You have not been through what we’ve been through.”
“Don’t tell me that I’m not feeling pain, because LeAnn is dying,” Edmonds said of her husband’s ex-wife, who died in July.
“You are so out of line,” said Gunvalson. “You don’t think he wants to live? Shame on you.”
“For what? Caring?”
“Shut up!” screamed Gunvalson, her hands in the air.
“Put your finger down!” said Edmonds.
“You don’t even want to go there with me,” warned Gunvalson.
“You’re just an old woman who’s pissed off and bitter at the world,” yelled Edmonds, “so you just shut up.”
