Woo-hoo! 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Is Back

Vicki heads to Hawaii with Tamra and Heather, while new housewife Shannon joins the crew

As the original Housewife herself would yell, “Woo-hoo!”

Vicki Gunvalson was back and in true form on Monday’s premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and season 9 looks to be chock-full of fine homes, over-the-top trips, rocky relationships and one feisty new costar.

Gunvalson joined returning Housewives Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow in Honolulu, where Dubrow was filming an episode of Hawaii Five-O.

As usual, Gunvalson – whose relationship with former boyfriend Brooks remains in limbo but is an ongoing source of tension with daughter Briana after last season’s troubling reunion – was up for fun with partner-in-crime Barney. And the duo were looking to get Dubrow in some trouble by taking her to surf school.

“I am terrified of the water,” said Dubrow, who is building a 20,000-sq.-foot, 13-bedroom home (with a beauty salon!) overlooking the ocean, after selling her last one for $16.5 million. “Knee-deep, knee-deep, knee-deep.”

“If I hear ‘knee-deep’ one more time, I’m gonna dunk her,” Gunvalson said, although Dubrow was the first to stand on her surfboard.

“It’s very easy to get up,” said a recently married Barney, whose new gym with husband Eddie Judge is holding its own after nine months in business. “If you can’t get up, you’re a complete moron. Or you’re just Vicki.”

The beaches of Hawaii were a long way from the Oklahoma plains, which is where Briana, now pregnant with a second child, may be headed if the Marines station her husband, Ryan, there.

And that didn’t sit well with Gunvalson.

“Oklahoma’s an invisible state … Nobody talks about Oklahoma,” she told her daughter. “I don’t even know what kind of food they eat in Oklahoma.”

Shannon Beador would prefer it be organic. The newest Housewife is greener than Kermit, more holistic than a health guru and richer than, well, you know.

The “true SoCal gal,” as she describes herself, is the daughter of a former I. Magnin president, wife of a wealthy freeway contractor and mother to three adorable little girls (including twins).

Her mansion features a secret playroom behind a bookcase and basketball court but “no toxic paint, no fiberglass, no wireless.”

“We’re a little bit down-to-earth,” explained Beador, who visits an energy doctor named Dr. Moon three times a week. “He keeps me healthy.”

“I think Shannon gets her hair colored,” joked Dubrow of the blond newbie. “Is that organic?”
