Entertainment TV Brooks Ayers Says His Health Is 'Improving' as 'Real Housewives of Orange County' Stars Continue to Question Cancer Diagnosis "I went from stage 3 initial diagnosis now down to stage 2," says Ayers, who was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2013 By People Staff Published on October 20, 2015 09:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Getty Brooks Ayers says things are looking up. The ex-boyfriend of Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson says his health has been “improving” since being diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2013. “I went from stage 3 initial diagnosis now down to stage 2,” he told E! News. “I have no more inflammation, lesions in my lymphatic system. Just have some blood work numbers that need to come down and normalize.” The latest season of RHOC saw a number of the ladies questioning if Ayers’ diagnosis was genuine, partially because he began seeking alternative medicine treatments. Though the issue was not mentioned on Monday’s reunion special, a clip for next week’s second installment shows that the women will continue to question the diagnosis. Asked why he didn’t share his medical records with the women to prove that he was telling the truth, Ayers said he didn’t believe the ladies had his best interest at heart. “They weren’t sincere in wanting to know about my health,” Ayers said. “They were interested in trying to catch me in a lie and Vicki in a lie or a cover up.” RELATED VIDEO: Meghan King Edmonds on Brooks Ayers Cancer Rumors: ‘You’re Gonna See That It Doesn’t Add Up’ Part two of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion airs Monday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
