After a season of avoiding one another, the full cast of The Real Housewives of New York City gathered together for dinner on Wednesday’s episode – and it didn’t take long for one Housewife to storm off!

LuAnn de Lesseps did the fleeing this time around after she clashed with her costars who had criticized her relationship with new fiancé Tom D’Agostino, Jr.

“Nothing you can say – any of you – can change my mind about this guy,” the 51-year-old yelled before leaving the table. “We have a real relationship and we’re getting married.”

“It pissed me off,” she added. “When you’re here and you’re feeling great and you’re in love, everybody tries to rip me down. Can you not be happy for me? All my friends are happy for me except you bitches. Why?”

Leading up to the confrontational dinner, the Countess’ relationship had been the fodder for gossip among the Housewives.

“She’s only been with him for four weeks,” Ramona Singer told Sonja Morgan during a private dance class. “I don’t like that she’s being self-absorbed, only thinking about herself and the man she’s with. She’s not paying attention to her friends.”

“We have to be a friend to her too and realize she’s in love,” Morgan said, in response. “We have to give her some time.”

“She wants to married. She’s been dating a lot longer than you,” Morgan reminded the newly divorced Singer. “You just started dipping your toe in the pond of the dating world. She’s been doing it, out there, banging away.”

Singer continued her criticism of her longtime friend while visiting with Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley and Bethenny Frankel later on at Frankel’s apartment. The ladies all agreed de Lesseps was returning to her “Countess” ways.

“I get a sense of bragging,” Frankel added. “‘I’m better than you,’ ‘I’ve copied her royal hair’ – I’m getting a sense of narcissism and really just … unlikeable. That’s the only word I can really think about.”

Medley remained neutral in the gossip, saying that she hadn’t seen that behavior from de Lesseps. She had hoped to be a neutral negotiator while at her dinner party at Joanne Trattoria – the Italian-American restaurant owned by Lady Gaga‘s parents and cookbook author Art Smith. But sadly, Medley stepped away from the table when the drama started.

De Lesseps had told audiences the women’s anger was really coming from a place of envy. “It’s a jealousy thing,” she said in an interview. “I think they cannot stand that I found my soulmate and that I am truly happy and in love. I think it pissed them off. There’s a certain amount of ‘Huh, it should be me.’ ”

At dinner, she explained she had moved into D’Agostino, Jr.’s Upper East Side apartment and that he was looking for rings. “I’m so happy. I’m really happy,” she said. “He’s a lot like me. He has my sense of humor. He’s self-made. He’s like my match. It’s the craziest thing, and it was so easy. It’s a no-brainer.”

It didn’t take long, though, before she was confronted by rumors about her beau’s past. “I’m sure there’s stories flying about Tom,” she told Singer. “He’s a bachelor. He’s 49. People will tell you all kinds of stories. But if you’re my friend, you defend me.”

It didn’t help that Morgan spilled the beans that she had been “friends with benefits” with D’Agostino, Jr. for 10 years. “He’s my friend,” Singer said, defending herself. “They’re dating. They’re in love. They’re getting married.”

The revelation upset de Lesseps, who said in a confessional: “Sonja’s supposed to be my friend. Why would you say that? She didn’t have a long relationship with Tom. She had no relationship with Tom other than [sex].”

“Anything that happened before Lu, I don’t give a flying leap,” she declared to the table. “I don’t care who f—ed who. I don’t care.”

Ironically, it was rival Radziwill who offered de Lesseps support during the confrontation, congratulating the New York housewife for her happiness. “Out of that table full of women, the only one who’s happy for me is Carole, and I’m pleasantly surprised,” de Lesseps said.

Perhaps their fractured friendship can be fixed after all?
