They may call Manhattan home, but with summer in full swing – and their season 4 wrapped – the ladies of the The Real Housewives of New York City are taking a break from the Big Apple … although not a very big one.

Bravo stars LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan and Cindy Barshop have been spotted at social and charity events all over the Hamptons, on the Eastern End of New York’s Long Island.

“To be out in the Hamptons – it’s business,” Singer tells The New York Times. “By being seen and meeting new people, it gives you the liaisons for the fall. Then you get invited to the personal parties in the city.”

Adds the Housewife, who has her own brand of Pinot Grigio: “You’d be surprised at how much effort it takes. I’ve been going to the Hamptons for 20 years. There used to be only one event a night, and now there are 20.”

And when they’re on the scene, it’s business as usual.

“They’re definitely ‘in character’ when they come out, which makes it kind of fun,” Dan Rattiner, editor-in-chief of the Hamptons’ Dan’s Papers, says. “It’s a Bravo moment right now, so might as well make the most of it while it lasts.”
