Dorinda Medley wants a new cast member – Yolanda Hadid.

In a new interview with PEOPLE Now, The Real Housewives of New York City star opened up about the idea of welcoming Hadid onto the show.

When asked if season 9 could move forward with some new people, Medley, 51, admitted that adding “some fresh blood” may be the answer to their on-going drama.

“It’s so funny you say that,” she began. “I was actually at my home in the Berkshires and I was thinking, ‘How are we all going to come back and recover from all of this?’ And I don’t know if the way to do that is maybe to see some people drop out. Maybe add some fresh blood.”

“I was just walking through that in my mind, because it’s going to be tough to all sit in the room with all of these characters,” she continued. “We really bifurcated and took our sides and to bring us all back into the ring may be a little difficult. Some fresh blood could really help us out I think. Mix it up.”

When the question was raised if Hadid, a former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, would be the fresh blood that RHONY is looking for, Medley was completely on board with the idea.

“I would be so happy,” she revealed. “I think she would be perfect for it. She is a mother. She’s a grownup. She’s gone through a lot of different things personally and in her marriages and stuff. I think she’d be the perfect addition.”

In June, the 52-year-old former model, who joined RHOBH in season 3, broke the news that she would not be back for season 7.

So, does Medley know for sure if a contract for Hadid is in the works?

“No, I don’t,” she said. “People don’t realize this, but we kind of find out almost at the same time as you find out.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
