Bethenny Frankel is sharing more details about a health issue that was first hinted at in the new trailer released Monday for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

“I’m facing a women’s health issue that many women can relate to,” Frankel tells PEOPLE exclusively.

While she’s not ready to divulge specifics, she says she hopes RHONY viewers will learn from her struggles.

“I’m dealing with it head on and viewers will understand how I personally deal with matters such as this,” Frankel, 45, says. “I hope women can relate, learn and support each other in life moments like this.”

Still, Frankel isn’t slowing down. On Thursday night, she hosted a fiesta party, and invited her fellow Housewives to provide a sneak peak of her new Watermelon Lime Margarita that will come out this summer. The bottle was designed exclusively for the private debut by close friend and world-renowned pop artist Romero Britto. It is a one-of-a-kind Skinnygirl Watermelon Lime Margarita bottle and the bottle won’t be for sale.

Frankel, who is in partnership with Skinnygirl Cocktails and owns Skinnygirl, was seen reacting to scary news in the first trailer for RHONY season 8, with her tearfully saying, “I have to do surgery” and that she needs to explore a “living will.”

The Real Housewives of New York City returns April 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
