Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Teresa Giudice Wrote Jacqueline Laurita a Mysterious Note
Before she left prison, Teresa Giudice sent a mysterious note to former best friend – and longtime enemy – Jacqueline Laurita.
The revelation came on the season 7 premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which also detailed Giudice’s emotional reunion with husband Joe Giudice and daughters Gia, Milania, Audriana and Gabriella.
“Heard you were asking about me,” the note – which was delivered as a photograph attached to an email – read. “We have a lot to catch up on. Looking forward to a new beginning.”
She signed the note “xoxo Teresa.”
“I’m so confused right now,” Laurita told her husband, Chris, of the peace offering. “It’s like she took a cup of scalding coffee and threw it in my face and then calls me the next day and is like ‘Want to go get coffee?’ ”
“She slammed the door in my face with my finger still stuck in there” she later said to Housewife Melissa Gorga. “What now is so different that I’m supposed to believe now is sincere?”
Giudice and Laurita were friends for 13 years, Laurita explained, but fell apart while filming the fourth and fifth season of RHONJ because they were bickering over Giudice’s desire to keep her legal battles quiet, among other things.
“She was like a sister to me,” Laurita said in an interview. “We were very close. We had a lot of good times together. And then we had a falling out. We never quite recovered from it.

Laurita went on to say that, despite previous attempts to repair their relationship, the two friends were never able to get there. She explained she’s now not sure whether the two will be able to move forward – or whether she herself even wants to.
“What am I fighting for? Why am I fighting for a friendship that she doesn’t want?” Laurita asked.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
