Melissa Gorga: Joe Giudice Is 'Doing What He Has to Do' While Teresa's in Prison

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa is serving a 15-month jail sentence in Connecticut

While Teresa Giudice serves a 15-month jail sentence for fraud charges, her husband Joe is stepping up to the plate when it comes to the couple’s four daughters.

“It’s heartwarming to see him,” Gorga told Andy Cohen during an appearance on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live.

“It’s heavy on his heart,” she went on, adding, “It’s a lot. He’s manning up, and he’s doing what he has to do.”

Joe will begin serving his own 41-month prison sentence once Teresa completes her time at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.

“I pass him in the morning, and he’s driving the girls to school,” a tearful Gorga told Cohen. “And I usually pass Teresa every morning.”

While Joe Giudice is doing his best to care for the family solo, Teresa is staying strong while in prison.

“She’s doing well,” said Gorga. “My mother-in-law gives me updates all the time. She’s doing really good.”
