Entertainment TV Joe Giudice Gets Emotional Telling Teresa He Hopes 'We Grow Old Together' The RHONJ husband's wife has been behind bars for months By People Staff Published on October 8, 2015 08:45 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Joe Giudice is valuing family more than ever. The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband is appreciating the small things in the months since his wife Teresa began her prison sentence, which has forced him to care for their four daughters alone. His journey caring for the girls is being chronicled in the three-part Bravo series The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In, which debuts Sunday. In a clip from the speical, Teresa calls Joe for a romantic phone call from prison. Though at first she jokes about having phone sex and expresses her hope that he gets abs like the hunks in Magic Mike, the pair soon get sentimental. “I hope that we grow old together,” Joe tells his wife, getting emotional. He will be heading to prison following Teresa’s sentence. Joe and and his wife were sentenced to 41 months and 15 months in prison respectively, after pleading guilty to mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud the previous March. Teresa’s sentence began on Jan. 5, and she is expected home in December. “When I get out, I definitely want to spend lot more quality time with my wife, and grow old with her, God Willing,” he says in an interview. “It’s all up to the man upstairs.” In another clip from the episode, Joe plants a tree in honor of the one year anniversary of his father’s death. “My father was my best friend, without a doubt,” he says of his father Frank Giudice, who died in June 2014. “He definitely looked out for the family and it would have been a big help if he was around.” The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In premieres Sunday (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
