'This is Not a Pity Party': Yolanda Foster Shares Hospital Bed Selfie
Yolanda Foster shared a glimpse of her "not so glamorous" journey on Instagram
Yolanda Foster is getting up-close and personal about her health crisis.
“I am not afraid for you to see me for who I really am and what my days are really like I have learned to love every part of me without apology!” she wrote. “Happy selfie-sad selfie, good days bad days, with make up-no make up, boobs- no boobs.
“I can only hope that by sharing this not so glamorous journey, the millions of doubted & neglected Lyme sufferers will gain medical recognition of their illness and the appropriate treatment affordable for all.
“This is not a pity party, just reality with good intend #InvisableDisease.”
Foster, 51, has been open about her battle with Lyme disease after being diagnosed with the condition in 2012.
In the last episode RHOBH, the 51-year-old underwent surgery to have her breast implants removed.
“We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing only a towel to demonstrate three areas along her chest where doctors found the leaked substance.
Last month, Foster wrote about the surgery to have her implants removed in a blog for Bravo.
“I am so blessed to have had a successful explant surgery with Dr. Feng, and hopefully I’m on my way to a full recovery from a very complex and multi-faceted health collision,” she wrote. “Looking back, what was I ever thinking putting breast implants or the poison of Botox in my so perfectly healthy body?”
Foster has been criticized this season on RHOBH for her social media posts about her health.
“It’s a little much,” ex-Housewife Taylor Armstrong said during a luncheon.
