Yolanda Foster Fires Back After Taylor Armstrong Questions Health Struggles: I 'Hope She Never Has to Experience the Journey'
"A lack of education is the root of so many issues today," Foster wrote in a blog post
On Tuesday’s episode, Taylor Armstrong questioned why Foster, 51, seemed to alternate between happy and sick selfies on social media.
“I don’t like seeing the whole needle in the arm thing all the time. It’s a little much,” Armstrong, 44, said.
She went on to wonder if Foster has Lyme disease.
“It seems like a misdiagnosis,” she said.
In a blog post published following the show, Foster said that “a lack of education is the root of so many issues today,” saying she saw “IGNORANCE” in Armstrong’s comments.
“Those of you who have experienced chronic illness, you know what I’m talking about. What defines suffering? You will never hear someone who’s walked in my shoes speak the way Taylor spoke on tonight’s episode,” Foster wrote. “I truly hope she never has to experience the journey she questions me for sharing.”
In an interview posted on BravoTV.com, Armstrong said she did not intend to question Foster’s diagnosis.
“I was not questioning that, and I wasn’t questioning Yolanda. I was merely suggesting that since all the Lyme disease treatments were not helping her, maybe she and her doctors should consider other possibilities,” Armstrong said. “I feel terrible for her that she is having such a difficult time and wish her all the best in her recovery.”
Foster has had a challenging few years, after being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, which she wrote has left her unable to enjoy many activities she used to. She has said her health issues “changed the dynamic” of her marriage, and she and husband David announced earlier this month they were divorcing after four years of marriage and nine years together.
