In the wake of her estranged husband’s suicide on Monday, a "devastated" Taylor Armstrong is now grieving in private.

“She’s not talking to anyone, she’s not leaving the house at this point,” a source tells PEOPLE.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star released a statement Tuesday requesting privacy in order to comfort her daughter Kennedy, 5.

“Taylor is behind closed doors, surrounded by her family,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She’s with Kennedy.”

It’s been a very difficult month for Taylor, 40, who filed for divorce from Russell, 47, on July 15, citing physical and verbal abuse. She is also being sued for more than $1.5 million for breach of contract.

While the future of season 2 of Beverly Hills – which was expected to document Taylor and Russell’s troubled marriage – is reported to be delayed, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the premiere party for Bravo’s hit reality show has definitively been canceled. The cast of Beverly Hills was set to celebrate its new season Aug. 24.
