'RHONY' 's Ramona Singer Admits Her 'Delivery Sucked' During Explosive Bethenny Frankel Fight

Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer is opening up to PEOPLE about her feud with Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel

Ramona Singer is taking a page out of Lisa Rinna‘s book and “owning it.”

The Real Housewives of New York City star stopped by PEOPLE Now recently to chat about her big blowout with cast mate Bethenny Frankel — which erupted on the show’s April 19 episode when Singer asked if Frankel’s 6-year-old daughter had heard about her naked film past.

“Okay, I admit — my delivery sucked. Okay!” Singer, 60, said. “But she took it like an attack and it wasn’t.”

According to Singer, bringing up Frankel’s daughter was merely an attempt to connect with the Skinnygirl mogul.

“Looking back watching it, what I was really trying to do was relate to her mommy to mommy,” she explained. “I did not bring it up to embarrass her. I did not bring it up to insult her. I first just brought it up to her very gently. I said to her, ‘I know you were in the press very recently a lot.’ I didn’t say, ‘I know you were in the press because you bared your breast and you were having sex on top of a water bed!’ ”

“These are pictures all over the press and it brought me back to the time that [former RHONY star Alex McCord] was nude in the press in all the magazines and my daughter was at a very elite private school and people were showing around the pictures — all the older kids,” Singer added. “And it put her and me in a very bad position. So I was concerned for her like, ‘Is everything okay?’ ”

As viewers know, Frankel didn’t take it that way — snapping back, leaving their dinner conversation, and skipping Singer’s dinner party the next day.

According to Singer, that’s just the beginning of their battle — though war isn’t exactly something she’s looking for.

“You’re going to have to watch this season. As the season progresses things tend to get worse,” she said. “This last episode I had a dinner party. She did not come. She did not say she wasn’t going to come, she just didn’t show up. It was hurtful — I really wanted her to come.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesday (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
