Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Brandi Glanville Says Kyle Richards Only Cares About Fame
Costar Kyle Richards' "true colors" will come out, promises Glanville
When Kyle’s sister Kim Richards, who checked in to rehab in 2012, showed up to a poker party acting like she might be under the influence, Kyle panicked that her older sister had fallen off the wagon.
Though Kim, 50, privately admitted to Kyle, 46, that she had “taken something” for pain, Kim walked away from her sister to find a sympathetic ear in Glanville, and the resulting clash between sister and friend turned violent.
“It really is a shame the way things came across in this week’s episode,” Glanville, 42, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “At the end of the day, I was trying to protect Kim and her health.”
Glanville cautions, “Remember, you don’t get to see everything, only the highlights. In my opinion Kyle doesn’t care about Kim’s health, she cares about fame and having this play out on national TV to give herself a story line and embarrass her sister.”
Glanville says this week’s altercation is just a preview of battles to come: “Sadly, things are not resolved, and I am looking forward to next week’s episode as well as the rest of the season. Hopefully they will show Kyle’s true colors.”
“Anyone who knows me knows that family is the most important thing to me,” Kyle tells PEOPLE exclusively. “My only concern that night was for the well-being of my sister Kim and I just wish Brandi had not put herself in between us. She is not a family member and she knows nothing about our history or our relationships.”
Tuesday’s run-in is a reminder of Kyle and the former model’s instant clash during a game night in Glanville’s first season on the show. In fact, that fight centered on Kim, too.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
