Betty White is in demand! She’s been everywhere lately — from her role in The Proposal to the Screen Actors Guild awards (where she received a lifetime achievement award) to a hilarious Snickers commercial that aired during the Super Bowl where she got tackled into a mud puddle to the still-running episodes of her classic show, Golden Girls.

But should the 88-year-old comedy legend go on late-night TV?

Over 135,000 have taken to Facebook to petition that the former Rose Nylund get a shot at hosting Saturday Night Live. Picture it: a Golden Girls parody starring White and Fred Armisen (who’s happy to don a dress to portray another golden lady, Joy Behar) loaded with jokes about cheesecake, the lanai and shoulder pads.

Still, the question remains: Will SNL honcho Lorne Michaels pay attention?–Brian Orloff
