Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger and Boyfriend David Krause Have Split
The couple met in 2012 and were together for three years
The Millionaire Matchmaker star and Krause began dating in 2012 after meeting through an online dating site.
On Wednesday, Stanger herself confirmed the split on her website.
“Before you hear it from anyone else, I wanted to let you know myself – David and I broke up,” she writes in a post called “Seven Important Love Lessons I Learned From My Last Relationship.”
“It’s unfortunate for a million and one reasons and obviously hard and sad for both of us,” she says. “Parts of me wish neither of us had to go through this. At the same time, I realize that this relationship and break up had to happen because I needed to learn a lot of lessons I never would have been able to learn without dating David.”
Among the reasons they split? She says she is much more “spiritual” than he is – and that he was too much like her father.
“Dating someone with their father’s traits isn’t a bad thing,” she says. “But for me, it’s just a no go.”
She also explains that his astrological sign didn’t mesh well with hers, either.
“I’m a Gemini and David’s a Virgo,” she says. While the two signs have a lot of chemistry between them, “with a Virgo comes a lot of criticism and it’s the sign of the bachelor. Commitment is hard for them. Plus, Geminis just aren’t as grounded as Virgos are and when it comes to how to live a life, that’s a big divide. For my next guy, I’m looking at our charts right away and believing what I see.”
“Thank you my fav BFF #selfie queen @Jillzarin 4 taking care of me,” the star Tweeted, alongside a beach photo of her gal pal on Tuesday. “Lost my voice n was so sick.”
“With @pattistanger in bed watching @countessluann on @andy,” Zarin Tweeted. “Excited to hear new song. I heard it other day and loved it!! #dontbeuncool!”
Stanger chimed in, adding that the ladies were dancing around “in our pj’s.”
Krause, a mortgage banker, previously admitted he didn’t know who his famous girlfriend was when they first met.
The father of two said he was confused when fans approached Stanger on their second date asking for autographs and photos.
“What is going on here, this is the oddest thing,” he said he was thinking. “But I didn’t ask any questions, because I figured she’d let me know when she was ready. And that night I raced home and Googled [her].”

Still, Stanger wrote in her post that she will miss her time with Krause. “He’s an amazing guy and we remain very good friends. We shared a home and dogs and were truly a loving family together. Those are hard things to say goodbye to.”
“This wasn’t a break up due to a lack of love, that’s for sure. It was opposites attract from the very start and I did feel a lot of love towards him. Just not the right kind of love between the right two people. I wish David the best in life and love.”
