Ozzy – still wearing his wedding band – stopped by his hometown of Birmingham, England, to attend a tram naming ceremony in which the city named a Midland Metro tram in his honor.
“When I was a kid there were trams in Birmingham, and I always wondered why they stopped them. It’s a clean way of transport,” he told BBC Midlands Today at the event.
When asked whether he’d consider buying his own tram, the star shook his head.
“No, thank you. A ‘Crazy Train’ maybe, but not a tram!” he said, making a joke in reference to his hit 1980 song.
Ozzy then made his way over to the tram, unpeeled a sticker to reveal his name imprinted along the side and hopped on for a ride.
The tram naming ceremony comes at a difficult time for Osbourne, who is in the midst of a public split after more than 33 years of marriage to Sharon, 63.
On Monday, the pair’s daughter Kelly, 31, took to Twitter to blast the celebrity hairstylist who has found herself at the center of the drama over her alleged affair with the rock star: “Anyone looking for cheap chunky LOW-light and blow out and a b—j– call …,” wrote Kelly, listing a phone number that has since been disconnected.
Sharon has since laughed off the tweet.
“Oh, Kelly has the best sense of humor ever,” she told her fellow The Talk co-hosts on Tuesday. “What can you do but laugh? You have to laugh. And she’s just so funny.”
