When interviewing the entertaining and unpredictable cast of Outlander, you have to be prepared for anything – including when a certain cheeky star decides to do an impromptu impression of an Internet meme.

When PEOPLE sat down with cast members Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe recently, somehow our line of questioning inspired Heughan to do an impression of the Sad Affleck meme, which became an Internet sensation when Ben Affleck appeared inexplicably inconsolable during an interview at a Batman vs. Superman press day.

Of course Balfe happily played along, putting her acting skills to the test as the stand-in for Affleck’s costar Henry Cavill.

Their cheeky “performance piece” needs no further introduction than to just watch, laugh, repeat.

Outlander airs Saturdays (9 p.m. ET) on Starz.
