In a sneak peek at season 3 of Orphan Black, Sarah is told that she’s a “legend” and “made of the good stuff” by the unhinged Project Castor Rudy (aka “Scarface”).
“And you’re a myth,” Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) counters.
The brief scene – which contains some NSFW language, by the way – perfectly sets up the push-and-pull between the clones of Project Leda (all played by Maslany) and the ones from Project Castor (all played by Ari Millen) that will be a primary focus of the third season.
Unlike the ladies (and man) of Leda, who had no idea they were clones until they discovered each other, the Castor clones “were raised like a little wolf pack in a military-type setting,” co-creator Graeme Manson previously told PEOPLE. “They’re self-aware and aware of each other and aware that they’re multiples and different and special and that they have their own purpose.”
Whatever that purpose might be, it doesn’t seem like a positive one – as Sarah is dragged out of Rudy’s cell, the clone warns Sarah to “count your sisters.”
Orphan Black‘s third season premieres April 18 at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
