Tatiana Maslany stars as Sarah, a woman who witnesses the suicide of a woman who turns out to be her clone
Creepy new series alert!
The upcoming BBC America original series Orphan Black premieres next month, but PEOPLE.com has an exclusive sneak peek at the new show.
Tatiana Maslany plays Sarah, a woman who witnesses a suicide and then decides to empty the bank account of the deceased (who happens to look just like her). But that’s when the troubles begin for Sarah, an orphan turned street-smart chameleon, who discovers that she and the dead woman are actually clones – and there may be more of them.
“She’s unlike any character I’ve seen on television,” Maslany, 27, tells PEOPLE. “I’ve been in this business since I was 10 years old, and this has been the most challenging role of my career.”
Viewers may recognize the actress from The Vow, in which she co-starred with PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, Channing Tatum. The new series also stars Maria Doyle Kennedy, a.k.a. Downton Abbey‘s Mrs. Bates.
Orphan Black will debut on Saturday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET as part of BBC America’s Supernatural Saturday.
