Listening to Oprah Winfrey could be a step in the right direction for Lindsay Lohan.

Speaking on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, Winfrey discussed her interview with Lohan, which will air Aug. 18 on OWN, saying that she advised Lohan to skip her trip to Europe.

“I just came from Europe, and Europe is the place to go when you want to feel really good and relax,” Winfrey, 59, said. “It’s hard to go to Capri and not have a Bellini.”

Winfrey added that Lohan, who just completed three months of rehab at a Malibu treatment center, was hesitant because she had already paid for the trip, but eventually decided to cancel it.

When asked about her impression of Lohan’s health, Oprah said she noticed a change from the last time the two had met.

“I thought that she’s in the best place that I’ve ever seen her,” said the media mogul. “I believe that she believes that she is now ready. And she admitted that there were other times when she was pretending to be ready and not quite sure. And sometimes resentful that she was being, you know, put in a position where she had to go to rehab. I think this is the first time I could see it really benefited her.”
