Once Upon a Time's Magical Characters Get Real in Storybrooke
The magical residents of the Enchanted Forest have taken over Storybrooke, Maine, in a series of photos from Once Upon a Time, which returns for its second season Sunday (8 p.m. ET) on ABC. Here, Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) gets real, hosting a backyard barbecue for Red Riding Hood (Meghan Ory), Belle (Emilie de Ravin), Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla).
The daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, Swan trades gowns for battle gear in a dressing room located in the seaside town of Storybrooke, Maine, where at the conclusion of last season, all of the residents were reminded of their fairy tale origins.
The magical reveal makes the manipulative monarch, who answers to Regina in Storybrooke, none too pleased as she contemplates her next move from her mayoral office.
No pampered princess here! The Enchanted Forest's fairest of them all spends an evening sharpening pencils, as befit her Storybrooke alter ego, schoolteacher Mary Margaret.
It may not be the fastest mode of transportation, but Prince Charming, known as David in Storybrooke, does not dare navigate the small Maine town without his trusty steed at his side.
Student by day, and curse-breaker by night: Swan's son, Henry, brings in backup to help him understand why he and his family can't seem to leave Storybrooke behind.
RED RIDING HOOD
Careful now, Red! Granny's house – er, diner – is right around the corner, but should her wolfish companion really be leading the way?
Is that Rumpelstiltskin come a-knocking? The brunette beauty loses track of her tea while spying something in the distance.
With a sly smile upon his face, the trickster sits comfortably among the riches of Storybrooke's wealthiest resident, Mr. Gold.
