The Apprentice alum is newly engaged to pastor John Allen Newman, PEOPLE has confirmed. TMZ first reported that Newman proposed this weekend in front of his parishioners in Jacksonville, Florida, less than meeting Manigault – who is also an assistant pastor at a Los Angeles church – while she was teaching at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Just last week, Manigault’s former boss Donald Trump promoted her from TV villain to Director of African-American Outreach for his presidential campaign. Of the new gig, Manigault said, “It’s really an extension of the work that the [National Diversity Coalition for Trump] has already been doing and so I’m very happy to take up that cause for Donald Trump.” Manigault previously worked as the vice-chairman for the National Diversity Coalition for Trump.
