Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi Hasn't Received 'DWTS' Pointers from Ex-Pal The Situation

"I haven't heard from him in like a year and a half," the former Jersey Shore starlet tells PEOPLE

It sounds like a long lasting friendship between Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino isn’t a shore thing.

The former Jersey Shore costars, who experienced many ups and downs during the course of their time living together while filming MTV’s hit show, are no longer in touch.

When asked if new Dancing with the Stars contestant Polizzi, 25, has received any pointers from Sorrentino – who competed with Karina Smirnoff on season 11 – she told PEOPLE on Monday, “I haven’t heard from him in like a year and a half.”

When asked if she missed her ex-pal, she replied without hesitation: “No.”

But when it comes to one of their other former housemates, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, she and Polizzi’s friendship is still on and strong.

“Jenny’s going to be in L.A. in October, so if I’m still here, she’s going to come [watch],” Polizzi says of her Snooki & JWoww costar.

If Polizzi’s score on DWTS‘s premiere is any indication of how long she stays in the competition, then there’s a good chance her BFF will get to see her after all.

“At the end of the day, just have fun and own it,” the pint-sized reality star said of her ballroom debut, which got her 23 points out of 30 for a cha cha with partner Sasha Farber. “And that’s what I did.”

Continued Polizzi to reporters: “I feel like this is for people who don’t really know me. I’m introducing myself to everyone.”

As for partner Farber, “He’s not mean, he just gets a little annoying,” the TV personality said. “It’s normal for a teacher. I get annoying, too.”
