What do you get when you mix Neil Patrick Harris, A-list stars and pranks? The Best Time Ever, of course!

The Emmy-winning actor is heading to NBC with his new show, which he calls “the biggest show I’ve ever been a part of” in an exclusive First Look. “It’s essentially seven shows happening simultaneously.”

The live, one-hour show – featuring stunts, mini game shows and hidden-camera shenanigans involving NPH’s celebrity pals – is “a party,” says the Broadway vet.

Harris’ unsuspecting celebrity victims include The Voice‘s bromantic buddies Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, plus Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Jane Krakowski and Harris’ former How I Met Your Mother costar Cobie Smulders (who’s directed to do some pretty uncomfortable stuff by her partner, Saturday Night Live star Taran Killam).

“I was drawn to this show because it’s a game-changer,” says Harris, 42. “People need a reason to watch TV when the show is actually happening.”

Sounds like we’re in for something legen – wait for it – dary!
