Taylor Swift helped write Calvin Harris and Rihanna‘s monster hit “This Is What You Came For,” but when the deejay and producer accepted his award for Best Male Video on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards, he failed to thank his ex.

In a recorded message, the Scottish star, 32, thanked Rihanna and Emil Nava (who directed the video), as well as “everybody who’s supported this song” and “who’s watched this video.”

Last month, PEOPLE exclusively revealed Swift wrote the lyrics for the song under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.

After the collaboration was revealed, Harris slammed the “Shake It Off” singer, 26, on Twitter, saying “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals.”

He also added that it was “hurtful” the star “would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage.”

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he continued on Twitter. “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”
