Morgan Freeman may have one of the most recognizable voices in Hollywood, but not everyone knows his face.

The Lucy actor visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday to discuss his new movie Dolphin Tale 2 and share his case of mistaken identity.

Freeman, 77, told the host he was recently at an airport wearing a hat and glasses when he was approached by a “fan.”

“The guy comes over and says ‘I know you’re trying to be incognito, but I recognize you,’ ” Freeman said. “And I said ‘Oh, really?’ ”

“And he said, ‘Yeah, Samuel L. Jackson,’ ” Freeman said as chuckles erupted from the in-studio audience.

This isn’t the first time Jackson has been confused with another actor. A reporter recently mixed up the Pulp Fiction star with fellow actor Laurence Fishburne – and received a scolding from Jackson in return.
