In what is getting to be a habit, the Miss USA contestant in the Miss Universe pageant has tripped and fallen for the second year running.

Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart slipped during the evening-gown competition at the 57th annual Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam on Sunday.

Following her introduction, Stewart appeared to catch her shoes on her gown and took a tumble. She responded by smiling and raising her hands and arms above her head to clap for the crowd.

If the moment seemed like déja vu all over again, it was: Last year, Miss USA Rachel Smith similarly slipped and fell during the gown parade though it did lead to superstardom on YouTube.

As for final results on Sunday, Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza took the crown.

But, still in the spotlight on Monday, Stewart spoke good-naturedly about her travails to Today‘s Matt Lauer and Ann Curry.
