The Netflix comedy gets another season just weeks after its premiere thanks to a Tweet from the pop star professing her love for the show
The stars’ Netflix comedy Grace and Frankie was quickly renewed for a second season Tuesday – just weeks after its premiere – largely due to the 22-year-old pop star’s early love of the show about two women in their 70s who are forced to start over after their husbands leave them for each other.
“Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” co-creator Marta Kauffman said in a statement. “Because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a Tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted [Sarandos, a Netflix executive] and Miley to thank.”
