Michael Strahan isn’t missing Live.

The star, who exited the morning talk show in May, spoke with Chelsea Handler about his feelings since leaving Live for an expanded role at Good Morning America.

“I really haven’t had a chance to watch [Live],” Strahan told Handler in an interview for Friday’s episode of Netflix’s Chelsea. “But I think I’ve been working so hard for the last seven or eight years since I retired from football, that it’s been a relief.”

Strahan, 44, is slated to start at GMA in September and hosts The $100,000 Pyramid. His former Live co-host Kelly Ripa continues the search for his replacement.

“I really haven’t missed it,” Strahan said of Live. “But I loved it. Don’t get me wrong. I loved it. When you get a break, sometimes you kind of go, ‘Wow, I kind of needed it.’ I needed a break.”

Strahan’s episode of Chelsea streams Friday on Netflix.
