Mel B. admits that she got a little help in rebounding this week on Dancing with the Stars — a little help from “Girl Power.”

“I was really nervous about the performance as I had such little time to practice but I think the other girls brought me luck,” Brown wrote on the Spice Girls’ official website Wednesday, referring to a video her bandmates recorded to support her.

The footage, recorded during Brown’s trip to London to film the band’s new video for “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)”, showed Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell chatting away, with Bunton joking: “Please vote because she’s fab. We need her in–because then she’s not with us.”

After dancing to an old Spice Girls hit, “Spice Up Your Life,” judges awarded Brown and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy 29 out of 30. “I was so pleased with the judges’ comments this week,” Brown blogged. “I really enjoyed dancing to ‘Spice Up Your Life.’ My dancing partner Maks was with me in the U.K. so that we could practice our routine in between takes of the video. Although I think the other girls scared him a bit–but that’s what Girl Power is all about.”

Hints About the Spice Girls Reunion Brown also revealed a bit of behind-the-scenes gossip about the Spice Girls’ latest video.

“I flew to the U.K. with Victoria last week so that we could hook up with the other girls to shoot the video for our new single ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)’,” Brown wrote. “It was a really, really long day but I think that’s because we all sat around drinking tea and gossiping like a bunch of old women!”

She said the band will begin rehearsing in earnest any day now.

“I’m so excited about the tour and soon we will all be together in L.A. so we can really get stuck into rehearsals,” she blogged. “It is going to be such an AMAAAAAAZING show, so I hope you’ve all got your tickets!”

She added, “I can’t wait to perform it for the first time with the rest of the girls.” –Sara Hammel
