Entertainment TV Meagan Good Addresses Controversy Over Sexy Award Show Gown: 'It Was Like a Media Frenzy' Meagan Good will be profiled in this week's episode of Unsung Hollywood By Aurelie Corinthios Published on August 10, 2016 11:00 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Frank Micelotta/Fox/Getty Meagan Good isn’t holding back. The actress is the subject of TV One’s Unsung Hollywood episode this week and will address everything from dating rumors to media controversies. In an exclusive sneak peek at the episode, Good touches on the media firestorm that erupted over a plunging gown she wore to an award show in 2013. (Good, 35, is married to preacher DeVon Franklin, which fueled the controversy.) “It was such an interesting thing,” remarks the star. “Originally, I was presenting an award with Bow Wow, and then at the eleventh hour I was presenting an award with La La [Anthony] that was the gospel award.” “I got on stage, presented the award, was excited about who won, went backstage – and it was like a media frenzy,” she recalls. In another sneak peek at the episode, Good discusses the dating rumors her party-girl reputation sparked over the years. “As a child actress, you already feel that people are trying to manipulate your past,” she says. “So the partying for me was a way to distract myself, it was self-destructive. I was out a lot, I drank a lot, I was wild, I was crazy.” “I wasn’t dating Jamie Foxx. I wasn’t dating Lil Wayne. I wasn’t dating Tyrese [Gibson],” she went on. “However, there were other people that I dated that nobody knows about. The guys that I dated for a consistent amount of time – those were good relationships in my 20s. Those were relationships that I dated two to three years, and they were learning experiences and it was awesome.” Good’s Unsung Hollywood profile airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on TV One.
