Matt Lauer knows a good opportunity for a prank when he sees one.

That’s why he waited until Ellen DeGeneres was inside taping her daytime talk show to load up her Porsche Cayenne with 20,000 Ping-Pong balls.

“You have to admit, Ellen, it took a lot of balls to pull off this prank,” Lauer said to DeGeneres via video chat after she discovered what happened to her car.

He also included a cardboard cutout of himself and placed it in the passenger seat.

The two have been going head to head pranking each other, and each stunt is better than the last.

In February, DeGeneres superimposed Lauer rocking bondage gear during an interview with Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, making the Today host look like something straight out of Fifty Shades of Grey.

She also added visual effects to an interview Lauer did with Vince Vaughn earlier this month to make it appear as if Lauer’s foot was placed on Vaughn’s leg as he brought out props to indulge his interviewer’s “foot fetish.”

“Before it was fun and games,” DeGeneres said, “but now it’s on Lauer.”
