Tommy Ford’s Martin castmates reunited Wednesday for their costar’s funeral.

A week after the Martin actor — he played Tommy Strawn on the five-season series — died at the age of 52 in an Atlanta hospital, friends and family gathered to pay their respects.

Martin Lawrence, Carl Anthony Payne II, Tichina Arnold and Tisha Martin were among members of the cast who reunited for Ford’s funeral and celebrated the life of their late costar and friend.

“Today was not easy..but by the grace of God we all got through it. Words cannot express our gratitude for all of your Prayers, Positive thoughts and Support for us throughout the years. Tommy will be missed but most certainly never forgotten… And PLEASE don’t ask “Where’s Martin?..” he was there too…just not in this picture. Lol! God bless you all.. #LoveConquersAll #MartinShow,” Arnold, 47, captioned a photo on Instagram of her alongside Payne and Martin.

Although Martin star Martin Lawrence wasn’t in the photo, both Payne and Arnold assured fans that he attended he funeral, but just didn’t make it into the picture. “P.S. Martin was here..just not in the picture,” Payne penned in an Instagram post.

After learning about the death of his friend on Oct. 12, 51-year-old Martin, who was the sitcom’s co-creator and star, said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE: “Tommy was not only a great costar but he was a great man and friend. He always brought with him his spirituality a positive attitude and so much joy. I am sad the world lost a great talent and that I lost a wonderful friend. God bless him and his family.”

He also paid tribute to his late friend and castmate with a heartwarming Instagram post. “My brother…we were friends way b4 the Martin show & I’m glad we were able to show true friendship on-screen,” Martin wrote. “You brought a lot of love to the world and you will be greatly missed. God Bless to you and the family. Rest In Peace my brother. #TommyFord #Brotherforlife.”
