When your brother is performing at Madison Square Garden, you’re guaranteed the best seat in the house – that is, if you can make it to the show on time.

That’s the problem facing Mark Wahlberg in this exclusive Wahlburgers clip when big bro Donnie is getting ready to take the stage with his band New Kids on the Block.

The siblings and business partners hope to see each other before the performance, but it seems good intentions will be no match for New York City’s infamous traffic.

After Donnie warns Mark, 44, that he has only 20 minutes until showtime, the Transformers star’s driver estimates the trip to MSG will take about 15 minutes – that’s what you call a race to the finish line.

Still, there’s a reason it’s so important for Donnie, 45, to see his brother before his gig: The Wahlberg family has a history with the Garden.

“It’s the one place, when you can finally play there, where you know you’ve made it,” Donnie explains. “It’s the place that has the loudest, craziest fans in the world, and it’s also the place where my dad saw New Kids in concert for the last time in his life. Being that we’re here again, I get a little sentimental.”

And since Mark happens to be in New York as well, it’s the perfect chance for both Wahlbergs to reconnect and reminisce: “I heard that my brother Mark was passing through town to do some press, so I decided to reach out and see if we could somehow connect for a second,” Donnie says, not realizing that gridlock could make that “second” of quality time quite literal.

(Spoiler: As NKOTB followers know, everything worked out for the brothers – not to mention fans of boy band concerts featuring A-list action star cameos.)
