With two toddlers, a hit TV show and a brand new book out, The Little Couple stars Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein admit that making time for romance hasn’t been easy.

“With our busy lives, I think we need to work on having date nights,” Arnold tells PEOPLE.

“We haven’t done enough of that lately,” she says. “It’s all good, it’s all important, but at some point you just gotta do it.”

But between son Will, 5, and daughter Zoey, 3, plus everything else the couple has going on in their jam-packed lives, finding free time isn’t easy.

Their new book Life is Short (No Pun Intended) is out Tuesday – timed to coincide with all new episodes of the TLC series.

“Life is just busy,” says Arnold, 41, who is entering her second year cancer-free. “I never imagined it could be as busy as it is.”

And, with two very active toddlers to keep up with, the parents squeeze in sleep when they can.

“I have to realize I am not quite the super woman I used to be,” Arnold jokes. “I’m getting a little older. After we put the kids to bed then we ll sit in bed, and I’ll be like, ‘I need to write this presentation,’ but then I’ll fall asleep sitting up. I do that a lot.”

In an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s Little Couple premiere, Arnold and Klein show just one hectic moment in their life with their four kids (including two furry ones).

The Little Couple
