The Girls star and creator was showered with kind messages on social media Friday, which so happened to be her 30th birthday. Boyfriend Jack Antonoff celebrated his lady love with an adorable post writing, “happy birthday LD love of my life I’m so thrilled you are 30 pic taken 2 hours ago wish I was back there in the car now. I’d be in hell without lena.” Squad leader Taylor Swift once again showcased her birthday card skills by sharing a collage of some highlights from her friendship with Dunham. “One of my favorite people in the world turns 30 today and I can’t help but think about how different my life would’ve been without our long talks, arts and crafts projects, and running-into-each-others’-arms-hugs,” Swift wrote. “Thanks for being you, Lena. Everyone who knows you is better because of it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY @lenadunham.” https://www.instagram.com/p/BFXGuVIDvCs/ Reese Witherspoon also dedicated a post to the birthday girl. “#HBD to this brilliant, creative, sparkly lady! Keep shining bright @lenadunham, and Welcome to your 30’s!!” the actress captioned a photo of the pair. Dunham previously told Refinery29 that she’s “really excited” to turn 30. “When I was turning 25, I felt this weird sense of dread, like… I no longer had a cushion or excuse [to fail], because if you’re under 25, you’re the modern equivalent of a child,” she explained. “Everyone I trust has reported back to me that the challenging aspects of your 20s – the sort of stuff Girls is about, actually – just evaporates into the rearview mirror in your 30s.” Girls costars Allison Williams and Andrew Rannells were also among those who wished Dunham a happy birthday, including Lenny Letter co-creator Jenni Konner.
