A week after commemorating late love Cory Monteith’s birthday, Lea Michele celebrated the current man in her life, Matthew Paetz.

“Matthew, thank you for bringing such happiness into my life,” the Scream Queens star captioned an Instagram on Sunday. “For making me smile again and bringing such a bright joy into my every day.”

In the photo, Michele, 28, beams as Paetz leans in for a kiss. The model and aspiring actor turned 30 over the weekend.

The couple began dating last summer after meeting on the set of Michele’s “On My Way” music video in April 2014.

He’s the Glee alum’s first boyfriend since Monteith, who would have been 33 May 11, died of a drug overdose in July 2013.

“For a long time, Lea wasn’t close to even thinking about getting into a relationship. Cory’s death was and will continue to be a struggle for her,” a Michele insider told PEOPLE last June.

But it looks like the former Broadway beauty has found happiness again with Paetz, who moved into her Hollywood Hills home in the fall.

“They are really happy,” a source told PEOPLE in September, “and they make a great team.”
