Lauren Graham was poked with a bit of magic on the first day of filming the Gilmore Girls revival.

Graham visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Tuesday, to talk the upcoming Netflix revival, and opened up about the special moment on set where the actress found herself right at home.

“On the very first day I was so nervous and I couldn’t decide what to wear because it was the scene where you first see my character,” Graham told DeGeneres. “I kept changing, changing, changing. Finally I had to go so I picked something off the rack, and it was a little bit, and my dresser pinned it in the back.”

The 49-year-old, who plays Lorelai Gilmore, went on to say that she returned to her dressing room at the end of the first day, only to be told something shocking from her stylist.

“I had thought I had a pin in my back and she came and cut the tag off. The tag from the shirt I picked on the first day playing this character for the second time and the tag says, ‘Lorelai 2,’ ” Graham revealed. “The shirt was called the ‘Lorelai 2.’ ”

She continued to say, “It became such a symbol for me of all the special, magical, incredible things that had to happen for this to come together and there were a bunch of those and I kept a diary and wrote about it.”

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres Nov. 25 on Netflix.
