Lauren Conrad says the most surprising thing about being a newlywed is that there haven’t been any surprises.

“I haven’t gotten any big surprises yet,” Conrad said Monday night at the The 10th Annual Global Women’s Rights Awards at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. “It’s been pretty wonderful so far, so hopefully there’s no big ones.”

Conrad, who married attorney William Tell in September, acknowledges that being a newlywed is “different for everybody” and says it made her and Tell “officially family.”

“As far as our relationship, we were really committed before so it didn’t change a ton,” said the lifestyle maven, 29.

And does the happy couple expect to start a family soon?

“Oh, no not yet! No one is pushing,” she said. “We’re still in the first year of marriage. We’re just enjoying it.”
