"Mostly I am just so happy," said Seth Meyers

On Monday, the woman formerly known as Bruce Jenner received a warm welcome from late-night hosts after making her stunning debut on the cover of Vanity Fair earlier in the day.

While Caitlyn Jenner will not make her first public appearance until July 15, when she accepts ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award, she was still all anyone could talk about on late night.

“Bigger news out of the Kardashian camp is the new Vanity Fair cover, which features the first photo of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner,” said Jimmy Fallon. “I think the most shocking thing is, it’s only June and she’s already in bathing-suit shape. What’s the secret?”

Meanwhile, Conan O’Brien poked fun at the Kardashian clan, saying: “Bruce Jenner is on the new cover of Vanity Fair as her new identity Caitlyn Jenner. This is historic because Caitlyn’s the first woman from that family to appear on a magazine cover fully clothed.”

Jimmy Kimmel pointed out Jenner’s decision to spell Caitlyn with a “c” and not a “k.” “So she really is trying to distance herself from the Kardashians,” he said, adding: “My daughter Katie pointed something out to me – she said, ‘He’s been a woman three minutes, and he’s already hiding his arms.’ ”

Finally, Seth Meyers offered his congratulations, saying he had no jokes to tell about Jenner. “Mostly I am just so happy. I can’t believe we are living in a time when this is happening and people are being so positive about it, so congratulations, as well.”
